Work Experience
Work experience is an essential strand of careers education. The National Careers Service explains that work experience is important as it is an opportunity to build skills, find out about yourself and test out your career ideas.

Year 8 work shadowing
Year 8, normally in early June, have the opportunity to have 2 days work shadowing. This is where they attend work with a parent, carer or family member to start getting a sense of what the world of work involves. More detail regarding this will be sent out in March. Those students who cannot take part in work shadowing have 2 days of careers related activities run on the site.
Year 10 work experience
Work experience will be taking place Monday 30th June - 14th July
