Attendance

There are clear links between high levels of attendance and high levels of attainment. Ely College promotes and celebrates school attendance and expects all students to strive for 100% attendance.

NB: You can email the team via attendance@elycollege.co.uk, but please use the dedicated Absence telephone line to report student absences day to day. Email should not be used as an alternative to reporting via the phone line.

Referral for Term Time Leave

Any parent who takes a child out of school for term time leave for 6 consecutive sessions (3 days) or more, not authorised by the school (under exceptional circumstances rule), may receive a Penalty Notice. 

Schools may also request prosecution, in exceptional circumstances where a parent takes a child out of school during term time for an extended period (20 days or more).
