Our reporting and feedback systems exist to tell you how your child is performing in college, what they are enjoying, how they have made friends at school, and how their tutor and house team can support your child.
We need to balance the time needed to provide you with this information and the time teachers need to plan, teach and assess their classes throughout the year. We manage this by providing feedback in different ways and at different times.
We use the following methods to provide feedback.
-
Academic Mentoring - at key points across the year your child’s tutor will meet with your child to discuss their latest report, progress and how they are feeling about college. This will be shared with you via email.
-
Reports - our reports contain a range of information about your child’s progress in subjects and PLEDGES, how hard they are working in class and on homework and how many behaviour and achievement points they have
-
Parent Evenings/Meet the Tutor Evenings - In years 7 and 8 parents will meet with their child’s tutor to discuss progress and in year 9 onwards, parents will meet with teachers once per year
